Botanical Art Studio & Events
Welcome to soul seeds!
I love pausing with nature. Drying flowers and herbs is such a fun experiment. The textures and smells are a real experience when we slow down and take it all in. I create sculptures with fresh and dried flowers, herbs, branches and other botanicals from my area. My friends and neighbors contribute their party flowers, gourmet yard debris and florist left-overs. I also save blooms from the Rose Festival floats, memorial services and weddings before they hit the landfill.
Reach out and let’s make something together!
I have a growing fleet of botanical sculptures in local restaurants, hotels and offices. I also facilitate nature art workshops for small and large groups, and teach classes at Sherwood Center for the Arts.
Big Mama
Big Mama is a tangible and evolving representation of Mother Nature’s beauty, cycles, and divine nurturing force.
My favorite sculpture is a giant heart I created in 2020. She was the center of my first public show, which was at a local coffee shop in Newberg. As that same heart began popping up for different community events around town, I thought about the love and presence it stirred in the people who interacted with it.
This heart called Big Mama gathers new flowers and releases them just like our hearts beat in our chests. Learn about Big Mama’s journey here!
Become a Soul Seeds Flower Friend
I collect all of my botanicals from my community. Do you have fancy yard debris or celebration left-overs you’d like to contribute to the Soul Seeds Flower Bar and other large-scale installations around town?
