04.12.2020 Day 22
Day 22 has been an active one! The Chicks are flexing their feather muscles. It’s amazing to watch them puff up and shrink again. They look like little puffer fish. They’re pulling out the last bits of baby fuzz and cleaning things out before take-off.
As their feathers come in more, one chick is definitely darker than the other. I wonder if this is a male and his fancy face? Sifting through footage for sweet and tender moments has become a guilty pleasure for me. These little friends are so beautiful. I’m glad Frances is trusting me with their family photos.
