Day 20 was a little quiet in the nest - at least when I was filming. The Chicks seemed to be a little sleepier than usual, and Frances wasn’t pulling the nest apart with such intention today, either. This day seemed to be a day of quiet calibration.
These birds are growing and changing at warp speed, much like the world inside and around us during the age of COVID-19. Sometimes we need a day to lounge around and take a minute to catch up with ourselves, eh?
At one point, I noticed the Chicks doing a little investigating with each other. In this clip, it looks like Marlene is checking out Margie’s mouth. Any snacks in there? How would you narrate this interaction? Lots of conversations come to my mind!
Nope. No snacks. Mama must get snacks for us somewhere.
